Last Thursday, the Premier Constructions Australia team came together at our office yard for an R U OK? morning tea — taking a moment away from the workday to connect, check in and remind each other that looking out for our people matters.

R U OK? is built around a simple message: Ask the question. Start the conversation. Be there for each other.

At Premier, we believe that looking after our people goes beyond the work we do on site. A strong team is built on trust, connection and knowing that support is available when it’s needed.

Introducing our partnership with Sonder

As part of our ongoing commitment to the wellbeing and care of our team, we’re proud to announce that Premier Constructions Australia has partnered with Sonder as our Employee Care Program provider.

This partnership is an important step in strengthening the support available to our people — providing access to care and assistance when they need it, both inside and outside the workplace.

For us, this is more than simply introducing another workplace benefit. It’s about making sure our people know that support is there, and they don’t have to navigate challenges alone.

Our Managing Director, Seamus McHugh, shared the announcement with the team during our R U OK? event, reinforcing Premier’s commitment to creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported and cared for.

Starting the conversation

Our Safety Manager, Chris Bradley, also led the team through the R U OK? message, encouraging everyone to be aware of the people around them and to make checking in part of everyday workplace culture.

Sometimes, asking “Are you OK?” can be the first step towards someone feeling heard.
