About the Role
Premier Constructions Australia has launched a new venture, PremHire, offering construction plant, equipment and heavy vehicle fleet hire services across Australia. Our fleet and plant includes light and heavy vehicles, trucks, excavators, dumpers, a 4T crane, concrete vibrators, and generators.
The types of vehicles you will service include Toyota, Ford, Mitsubishi, Hino, Isuzu, and Nissan. This is a full-time position and remuneration will be based on your skills and experience.
Warehouse located in Welland, South Australia.
Diesel Mechanic role includes, but is not limited to:
Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy and light vehicles; motor units for equipment.
Responsible for plant, equipment and vehicle site inductions and associated documentation.
Diagnosing, repair and maintenance of mechanical, diesel systems, and hydraulic repairs in accordance with Australian safety standards.
Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation; and report any issues/ incidents to management.
Ability to proactively identify and reduce workplace hazards.
The successful candidate will likely have:
Proven experience in a similar role.
Mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy or Light Vehicle mechanic (to Australian standards).
Heavy Rigid Truck License (preferred).
Available Monday - Friday; with occassional Saturday shift/ overtime.
Previous diagnositic investigation experience.
Demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills; safety focussed.
Be a team player who consistently deliver excellent customer service; and hold a flexible approach to business commitments.
Own reliable transport, or own way to work (Mandatory)
You need to be able to meet any requirements which are necessary to safely perform your role (e.g. receiving a COVID-19 vaccination pursuant to a relevant health order or by clients, or as otherwise required).
Applicant must reside in Australia, and/ or have working rights to be eligible.
